TECHNIQUES

The AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC transmission with DIRECT SELECT gearshift is the perfect complement to the dynamic power of the CL 63 AMG. In true Formula One style, the seven-speed automatic transmission can be operated using the AMG shift paddles on the steering wheel.

SPECIFICATIONS

The heart of the CL 63 AMG is the 6.3-litre V8-engine. From a displacement of 6208 cc, this high-revving, naturally aspirated engine delivers an output of 386 kW/525 hp at 6800 rpm and a maximum torque of 630 Nm at 5200 rpm. Accordingly the eight-cylinder unit has a fulminating performance potential: acceleration to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, and a maximum speed that is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

INTERIOR

The AMG instrument cluster features an overtly sporty appearance. Eye-catching details include the 320 km/h speedometer scale and an 8000 rpm rev counter, hinting at the powerful capabilities of the vehicle. Red instrument needles and the “AMG” lettering in the rev counter are additional visual distinctions.
