TECHNIQUES

Exhilarating performance meets industry-leading safety. The AMG high-performance braking system is characterised by great sensitivity and high fade-resistance. The engineers at Mercedes-AMG have also developed an AMG-specific sports suspension that is based on the semi-active AIRMATIC DC air suspension with the adaptive damping system (ADS II).

INTERIOR

The AMG-specific instrument cluster boasts the AMG-specific main menu with multiple settings, including Warm Up, Set Up and RACE modes activated with buttons on the AMG performance steering wheel. Warm Up displays the engine oil and coolant temperature, Set Up displays both the current ESP mode and the transmission mode: Sport, Comfort, or Manual.

OVERVIEW

Rarely has passionate style been blended so seamlessly with pulse-pounding performance. AMG body styling introduces a sportier look, including a front apron with circular fog lamps set in chrome rings, the unique, eye-catching side skirts, and a stylish rear apron. The athletic contours speak with a quiet strength, the outward sign of an automobile bred for performance.

SPECIFICATIONS

The flagship model in the CLS range, the CLS 63 AMG is powered by the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine with 378 kW/514 hp and 630 Newton meters of torque. The high-revving, naturally aspirated engine now makes its presence known in an even more distinctive fashion: the AMG sports exhaust system's rear silencers deliver an even more captivating soundtrack through the two sets of oval-shaped, twin tailpipes.
