OVERVIEW

A symbol of one of the most ferocious engines in existence, the “V12 BITURBO” lettering on the front wings warns rivals that they’re up against far more than an elegant luxury sedan. The S 65 AMG is a handcrafted machine that performs among the most elite vehicles on the road.

SPECIFICATIONS

Sovereign performance - the S 65 AMG is the successful synthesis of top performance and dynamically-exclusive design. The enormous performance potential of the AMG 6.0-litre V12 Biturbo engine with 450 kW/612 hp and maximum torque of 1000 Newtonmeters is also reflected in the interior and exterior design. The S 65 AMG can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds.

INTERIOR

Electrically adjustable AMG sports seats with V12 diamond pattern and the Exclusive Passion leather AMG upholstery, optimized lateral support, multi-contour and memory functions as well as seat heating make every journey in the S 65 AMG a delight, whether it involves twisting country roads or long-distance motorway cruising.

TECHNIQUES

The AMG V12 power unit's torque delivery of 1000 Newton meters (electronically limited) calls for a powertrain that has been systematically reinforced. In the automatic transmission, this includes newly developed clutch plates with a high-quality metallic coating and the modified shift and torque converter lock-up logic. Redesigned drive shafts, larger hub carriers as well as strengthened steel spring links supplement these measures.
